A former member of the Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Zakari Mohammed, has called on the United States to use technology to locate terrorists in Nigeria and send missiles to flush them out.
Mohammed made this appeal on Friday when he appeared as a guest in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television monitored by DAILY POST.
He said that Nigeria is a sovereign nation, stressing that whatever future arrangements it would have with the America should be collaborative.
“I know from their satellites and the sophistry of equipments they have, they know where these terrorists are in our forest.
“Without physical intervention, technology can be deployed in blowing up these terrorists. It is a welcomed development.
“I don’t think it has to be kinetic. No. The world has gone beyond that. Some of these missiles that they use travel beyond continents.
“So, our should should collaborate with them because the insurgents or whatever it is has been franchised.
Look at what happened to that army Brigadier-General, may God bless his soul. He gave an information of his location. How did they information leak? That’s what we should be interested in as a country.
“Do you know how much it takes to train an officer of that cadre and those that died with him? You can’t just do that over the nigt. In a sane country we should be getting reports by now that heads should row so that it should serve as detergent to others,” he said.
