A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has spoken about his invitation to the office of the Department of State Services, DSS, on Monday, saying it was tough.
In a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday morning, Fani-Kayode said he was grilled by the DSS for six hours.
While saying he was granted bail by the security agency, the former Aviation Minister said he was asked to return on Wednesday.
“It was quite an experience, and even though it was tough, the panel that interrogated me were polite and professional.
“I was granted bail and I shall return there on Wednesday,” he stated.
In his appreciation message, Fani-Kayode thanked the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu and others; he said, “I was humbled and overwhelmed by this show of solidarity.
“I got home safely after a six hour interrogation and ordeal.”
DAILY POST recalls that the DSS invited the APC leader over a tweet wherein he claimed that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, was allegedly planning a coup d’etat after meeting with senior military officers.
“There are reports that Atiku had a secret meeting with serving military Generals in Abuja on Thursday.
“If true, it is troubling and has implications. What was the purpose? Why would a presidential candidate be having secret meetings with soldiers 14 days before an election?
“Is this meeting part of the wider agenda to disrupt the elections, destabilise the country, set us on fire, incite chaos and violence, provoke a coup d’etat and establish a new and unconstitional order in our beloved country under the auspices of an ING?” Fani-Kayode’s post read in part.
