Transfer: We’ll talk to him – Ibrahimovic speaks on Rashford’s joining AC Milan

AC Milan sporting director, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has admitted that Marcus Rashford’s potential transfer from Manchester United will be “difficult”.

However, Ibrahimovic hopes to hold talks with the 27-year-old about the move.

Rashford has been linked with a switch to the Serie A club, as he seeks to leave Old Trafford for “a new challenge”.

The England forward has been exiled by new manager Ruben Amorim.

However, Barcelona and Monaco are also reportedly interested in Rashford.

Milan manager, Sergio Conceicao, has described Rashford as a “good player” and Ibrahimovic has now endorsed his former United team-mate.

“I know him very well, I played with him when he was young, he is now an adult and established,” Ibrahimovic told Sky.

“He did great things with United and today that is his club. How to convince him? Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, everyone wants to play here.

“This is a difficult operation, we’ll see if we can talk to him.”
