6. Some gunmen on Friday shot dead a humanitarian worker, Chris Terfa Akpu, in Makurdi, Benue State capital. It was gathered on Saturday that the late Akpu was killed by unknown gunmen in his office in Catholic Youth Centre Church, Makurdi.

7. The one million-man march planned by leaders of the #EndBadGovernance protest flopped on Saturday across the country due to low turnout. In different parts of Nigeria, protesters shunned their usual meeting points, which had been occupied by security agents.

8. The chairman of the Ikeja Tricycle Riders Association, Oladimeji Ahmed, 48, is currently in police custody following a violent altercation with a police officer. The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a post on X on Saturday.
