AFL: No pressure on Enyimba to beat Wydad – Finidi

Enyimba head coach, George Finidi admitted there is no pressure on his side as they take on Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club in their first game in the inaugural edition of the African Football League.

The People’s Elephant will entertain the Red Devils at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday (today).

Wydad will head into the quarter-final fixture as favourites going by their recent record on the continent.

Adil Ramzi’s side won the CAF Champions League title two years ago and were runners-up last season.

Finidi has however assured that his players will give their best against the North Africans.

“There is no pressure on us. We would do our best to make Nigeria and West Africa proud,” the former Super Eagles winger was quoted by Enyimba’s official website.

The encounter will kick-off at 6pm Nigeria time.
